We are pleased to announce a series of upcoming poomsae training opportunities athletes of all levels! The US National Team coaches, including Head Coach Dan Chuang, and Coaches David Turgeon, Barbara Brand and Huy Nguyen, in addition to other current and former national team coaches and athletes, will be conducting National Poomsae Team training events throughout the United States as a way of disseminating the latest training methods and poomsae knowledge, as well as to raise funds for the US National Poomsae Team, which is largely self-funded. 100% of the proceeds will help support our USA National Poomsae Team.

Description:
Team USA posted 20 medals (4 gold) at the 2016 World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships, as well as a dominant performance at the 2017 Pan American Championships – come and learn some of the training methods that made that performance possible! Coach Turgeon will explain the training methods used to train athletes of all levels, from novice competitors through world-medalist caliber athletes.
Session 1 (9am-12pm) will focus on correct poomsae fundamentals (hand techiques, kicking and transitions), accuracy, and a subset of the Taeguek forms.
Session 2 (1:30pm-4:00pm) will focus on advanced training techniques to maximize presentation for competition, covers some of the Dan-level forms, and introduce some of the new World Taekwondo Beegak Poomsae.
Session 3 (4:00pm-5:30pm) will continue instruction on the new World Taekwondo Beegak Poomsae 1, 2 and 3.
For black belts, taking all three sessions is recommended.
