Congratulations to the US athletes who earned poomsae medals at the 2015 Canada Open on Feb. 13-15, 2015!
These videos were created by International Referee Raymond Hsu with the assistance of US National Team member and three-time world medalist Elva Pai Adams in August 2014 to help educate US athletes on the details of each poomsae. While some small details in the WTF rules may have changed since the making of the videos, the videos are still an outstanding resource.
Thank you to all of the athletes and instructors who supported an outstanding National Team Fundraising Seminar in Cambridge, MA on Feb. 8! Led by national team coaches Dan Chuang and David Turgeon, there were over 50 participants, including 10 current and former US National/US Collegiate National team members. Great work and check out https://poomsae-usa.com/upcoming-events/ for other seminar opportunities!
Registration closes in 4 days (Feb. 10) for the seminar on March 12-16 and spots are filling up quickly! Don’t miss your chance to train with national team coaches at the Olympic Training Center.
With the help of generous donors, the US National Poomsae Staff raised over $18,000 in cash and materials for the 2014 US National Poomsae Team! In particular, $10,764 in cash and $7,637 of in kind donations were received. Thank you to everyone who contributed!
The cash donations will go directly to the team members to pay for their team expenses, and increases the amount of up-front team fees that they are refunded.
The fundraising report is available on our Donate page.
